Week 2 progress report
It's been roughly 2 weeks since I started active development of 940: Harbinger Edition.
So far the core gameplay loop has been succesfully implemented. Wasn't an easy task, since I'm working in a completely unfamiliar engine, but the fine folks at the Godot Discord server have been a great help throughout this journey and I'm sure will continue to be.
We've also got some early visuals in, but im reluctant to show any of them since they frankly don't look too good and are deffo a subject to change.
The UI is about 70% implemented - the speedometer as well as fuel and hull integrity indicators work like a charm. Still need to figure out the dialogue box/status screen and route percentage indicator but I'll worry about that later.
I'll be toning down development for the coming week because of easter and other pressing matters that require my attention.
I can confidently say I'll at least have a demo out by the end of the jam.
Thanks for tuning in and see you in the next devlog!
